Consistently excellent quality and fair pricing for portion size! One of my favorite meals in the city. Get the appetizer Mid-Eastern Feast for 2 guests but make it for 6, no matter how many people because you will want those leftovers. The eggplant is excellent!
My only criticism, please make the switch to eco friendly packaging. The styrofoam needs to go.

The Emperor Platter and Mid-Eastern Feast for 2 guests were delicious, spiced nicely, with a lovely warm aroma. The bread, kebab, rice, and sides were amazing. There was enough food for at least three people and I am excited to sneak downstairs in the mddle of the night for leftovers!

I first ate at Sameem in 2005, when they were on Grand. I've been going there for 21 years, and I have never had a bad experience. My go-to order for Saturday nights with friends! The Afghani Pakowra is hands down best in the city. I love it with the yogurt Rita- Yogurt Sauce (2oz) and the green chutney. Get the side of masala sauce too! anything on the menu is wonderful. I love the Chicken Qabelli Palau, and one of my favorite touches is the flavorful rice with the raisins and carrots. Layers of flavor--so yummy. So authentic.

Beef Kobidah Kabob was delicious, spicy option is best. it's not spicy but perfectly flavorful with sumac seasoning. It comes with two Beef Kobidah Kabobs, basmati rice Afghani bread, grilled tomato and a small spoonful of tomato potatoes & peas combination on the side of rice, which I wish was fried, as it's fairly bland and just tastes like tomato paste with a bit of oil. Everything else is delicious. especially the Chai Tea it's better than most Indian restaurants. A full bodied spicy black tea with creamy milk, is absolutely delicious! And packed extremely, preventing spillage. Thanks for the wonderful meal Samees Afghani Restaurant!

I order minutee before they closed and was expecting okay quality, but Omg the Butter Chicken is amazing! First off the portion is enough for me and im a big guy. There's a certain level of freshness to the chicken that I honestly wasn't expecting, it's flavorful, slightly spicy ( I got the medium), and has a satisfyingly well balanced flavor that leaves a lingering bit of heat on the tongue.
The Baklava was soft and sweet but not overly sweet, each bite was burst full of honey and nuts.
The Mango Lussey was very creamy and the mango is perfect flavorful but not super punchy and in your face. Subtle and classy.
Finally we have the Kheer it was tastes warm and creamy, it tastes like what I imagine the season of fall would taste like if it was a dish.
Overall this was a 20/10 meal, that I definitely will be ordering again. And I'll be recommending this place to people in the area.
