The heat is on at Birds of a Feather, a dazzling Williamsburg mainstay from the Michelin-starred duo behind Cafe China. The menu here focuses…
The Spicy Fish Fillet and the Mustard Green Fried Rice are my personal favorites from Birds of a Feather and I order from BoaF at least once every week. The veggies- string beans with pork and snow pea shoots- are cooked to perfection. I have also really enjoyed the accordion eggplant and the rice pudding. All of these dishes are recommended!

Wow, We are blown away by how good this was, probably the best Chinese food Ive ever had, including in Hong Kong. The ingredients are wonderfully fresh, consistent high quality across all dishes, wonderful textures and especially characteristic--the authentic tasting and outstandingly fresh tasting herbs. If you haven't eaten kikurage/wood ear mushrooms before definitely try the Wood’s Ears with Pickled Peppers and Cucumber 泡椒木耳刺瓜 , the Pork Dumplings in Chili Oil 红油水饺 were also fantastic. Higly recommended this place!

Great selection of authentic dishes that many Chinese restaurants in nyc don't have. Only complaint is that the Chive Pancakes (2) 韭菜盒子 were a bit too oily, so does the Steamed Spice Coated Pork Ribs 小米蒸排骨.

Overall, it's an okay restaurant. Would I order from here again? Probably not. For what I paid, the dishes were small and mediocre at best. The lamb was over cooked, the pork bun had more empty space than filling, and the Dan Dan noodles were disappointingly bland.

Wouldn't recommend the Chungking Spicy chicken. You're basically paying $22 for a container full of chillis. Where's the chicken? Spicy fish filet and Fried rice mustard green shoots is always good though!
