• 7/29/26my family has been coming to Lou's for YEARS, and the sandwiches have always been consistent even over time and of course super yummy. My personal favorite is either Space Balls (meatballs, marina, all the fixins' on a soft roll), and the Hot Pastrami (warm pastrami with, you guessed it, all the fixins.)
Lou's cafe has been a huge part of my childhood, especially as a St. Gabe's student/alumni, and even after all these years is still my go to spot in the neighborhood for sandwiches, even now that I'm approaching college.
The staff are extremely friendly, especially Mark. Lou's is truly a staple community cafe in Parkside. Thanks Lou's for all that you guys do. <3

• 6/29/24The serving of meat was very thin. The cup of chowder for $8 is crazy pricey. You can buy 8 cans of chowder for that price. TBH it tasted like it was straight from the can. The quality at Lou's has gone down hill.
