I really wanted to like this place because I love Swedish meatballs and lingonberries, and I was excited to try the Swedish meatball burger. Unfortunately, this was one of the most disappointing restaurant experiences I’ve had.
The burger arrived without the Swedish meatball sauce that was supposed to be on it. I had actually called ahead because DoorDash didn’t offer an option to order extra sauce, and the restaurant told me they could add some for an additional charge. Instead, I ended up being charged for multiple sides of sauce, a pickle, and coleslaw that should have been included with the meal in the first place.
The gravy itself was extremely greasy, the lingonberry sauce was unpleasant, and the fries were underwhelming. I even tried fixing the gravy at home because I didn’t want to waste the meal, but after eating less than a quarter of the burger, I ended up throwing the rest away.
I don’t mind paying for quality food, but I do mind paying extra for items that should already come with the meal. Between the missing sauce, unexpected charges, and disappointing food, I can’t recommend Longtree's
