Awadh used to be the best Indian restaurant is UWS. Recently they havent been consistent. Did not mind paying more for the quality and that is why it was my goto for years. Chicken Tariwala was my favorite and needs improvement. Awadh Gosht Biryaani is amazing!

The Dumpukht Lamb Biryani tasted nothing like it was advertised. Very disappointed. The potato/onion Kulcha was nothing to write home about either.

Usually this dish is prepared pretty good with a good balance of flavors and spice level. Today it was not nearly the same. It was bland and very spicy.
