• 10/25/23Taqueria El Pollo is, hands down, the absolute BEST Mexican food in Springfield. We order from them at least 3x's a month, and the food is consistently hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious! Portions are very generous, too! We get 2 orders of the Fajita Grande (loaded with Steak, chicken, shrimp, chorizo (YUM), pulled pork, & fresh veggies). 2 orders feeds my family of 6 for nearly 2 days! We do have to ask for extra tortillas on our orders, which TEP has been more than happy to do every time. If you're in the mood for bomb-A Mexican & haven't tried them, DO IT! You won't be disappointed.

• 12/15/22Very good Chimichangas, probably the best in Illinois. I'm from Texas and constantly disappointed by the Mexican god and BBQ in Illinois, but this place is very very good.

• 2/24/26Today,I tried the Sopa de Pollo......Chicken Soup.It was absolutely amazin. It was packed with flavor, just enough spice to soothe my aching throat and warm the heart.I will be a repeat customer.
