Cracker Barrel is a go to for home cooked food that the whole family likes. The vegetable soup is simple and comfortable, salad fresh. The kids enjoy the grilled tenders or steak with green beans and the famous biscuits. The family meals are a good value as well. There are always leftovers.

there's nothing like Cracker Barrel comfort food. while they were out of my choice of meatloaf, they substituted chicken and dumplings & it's a great place if you're like me and love turnip greens. but the best part of all was their way of apologizing for no meatloaf. I was given a complimentary piece of their decadent and delicious chocolate cake. it was the perfect Sunday dinner.

The Thursday turkey dinner was a joke. Minimal, dry, bland turkey and stuffing. The sweet potatoes tasted like oranges. There were 4 apple slices in my fried apples. Horrible. The shepherds pie was delicious.

Buttermilk biscuits were cooked to perfection, but I thought the delivery charge and the service charge were outrageous. Usually, my delivery charge is zero and the service charge is a lot less too. I am a constant customer and deserve a deal. I know the biscuits are only four and that's all I ever get. Do you have good vegetable soup with fresh vegetables in it I might order something else if you do.
