I ordered a 4 piece all dark and received 3 pieces. Other than that, it was a surprisingly excellent experience. The chicken was the best I've had, and the beans were really cooked and not from a can like other places. So, if you're looking for a real meal, I suggest Detroit Soul. Just make sure they count the chicken parts!

The chicken was moist and tasted fresh but the flavor wasn't very good. The green beans were cooked to mush. The yams were good but not very sweet. The portion size was good for the price. I wouldn't order this meal again. I would try something else.

This is the best food ever, the food is season perfectly not over season or cooked the first Soulfood restaurant that actually cooks real mac and chesses, green old my God they are seriously delicious the chicken is so tasty I truly love their food me and my husband and aunt, and we are very picky about who food we eat but this one here is like mom cooking so they got a long time customer here as long as they keep the food the same and don't change the cooks who make each dish.

My aunt told me about this place, and I'm very funny about who food I eat and where I order from, but this place when I say its real soul food true down home cooking its truly is they just earn themselves a new loyal customer, me and my husband had the chicken dinners and the chicken was like my moms just season perfect the greens were awesome some real mac and chesses for a change yams was the best. Please keep your same cooks that make each dish because I found that when you start changing the cooks that make the greens you chick or yam and mac and chesses that when the business starts to fall off. As long as you keep this food fresh and good like this you got a customer in me and my husband. Oh the the way you food is safely delivered in the black plastic bag an put inside a nice tightly sealed shopping bad that say safely deliver I love it now that is the service I'm talking about.

Cabbage offset onion gravy on Meatloaf really well. Potato salad has sweet relish in it. Hot Sauce packets & corn bread incl. w/ meal also.
CALLED ME BACK to make sure I got evthg, incl extra cake bc missing fm last order! 😃 Folks are as kind as ud wish ur neighbors were lol.
