My Beet and Goat Cheese Salad was delicious! Large selection of greens, topped with beets, goat cheese, cranberries, walnuts and a very tasty balsamic dressing. The Fried Green Tomatoes were crispy and cooked to perfection, and I really enjoyed the dressing that came with it.

A fantastic old neighborhood place that has faced the test of time and wild gentrification. The Country Fried Steak and collard greens are peerless. If you're a recent transplant, be sure to pay respects to your new home and try some of the best Southern food in the city. Bar's great too.

The chicken fried steak was delicious, but the portion size for the gravy was a little small. If I'm eating chicken fried steak, I want to drown that cut in gravy. The little sauce-sized serving dish was not enough. Otherwise everything else was amazing and hit the spot!!

Im honestly shocked at my experience. I would have called this one of my favorite restaurants in charlotte before this. Ordered Deviled Eggs (6) x 2 because I normally love them. So much salt, my tongue was burning after. And the eggs were obviously NOT stored in the fridge in an air tight container. Eggs were obviously old. Biscuit was hard and dry. Also old. Mac n cheese was half filled and also made much earlier in the day. AND Inhad to come back in for it. And you hand me that. For a side you charge 6 dollars for...no words. I wanted to support this restaurant because I dont want it to close like the others in the area. Well, if it does close, its because its business has fallen off too much to afford the space and they are not working on keeping it. Cannot comment on Collard Greens currently as they gave me green beans.

Barely any gravy dripped over steak and the potatoes. Although this is the best country fried steak in town, it's nothing without the gravy. And there's no way to request extra. Normally get more.
