I'm so glad I trusted my gut and the 5 star reviews because this soul food was top notch! Honestly the greens were some of the best I've ever had and also had a tiny little kick to them.. So good mixed on the fork with some of the Mac and cheese, which was damn tasty. Smothered pork chops and the dark meat chicken were so good and juicy, the chicken skin was nice and crispy with so much flavor. You can taste all the seasonings and love in the yams, and since they were out of dressing, they threw in an extra side of the mashed potatoes and gravy which slapped like everything else. These 2 meals fed 5 of us. Only downside was the cornbread was little on the dry side, but the taste was on point.

The greens need to be cooked a little longer. They still had a slight crunch to them with no flavor. The steak bites were tough with no flavor and came with the oil and juices it was cooked in. The bottom of my container was full of meat juice. The yams were great! Decent portions given and the price is fair.

Pork Chops fried were delicious!! Big portions. The Mac n cheese was so good. They didn't have a full side order of dressing that I ordered so they refunded my money, but they still sent me a small serving on the side (I suppose what was left) It was perfect and went really good with the pork chops, mac n cheese, greens, and cornbread.

The greens needed more seasoning it didn't have flavor. The wings were extremely small. They give you a good portion for your money. The mac & cheese & turkey chops were good. I'd definitely order from them again.

The food was delicious as always but the turkey chops needed gravy and more gravy in the side for the dressing. Overall i give Ella's 10 stars. It's my go to place always!
