Ester's NEVER let's me down, the OXTAILS are so TENDER, FALLING OF THE BONE ALMOST and SEASONED to PERFECTION, the mac & cheese OMG CREAMY & COOKED JUST RIGHT, EVERYONE CANNOT COOK MAC & CHEESE, THEY HAVE MASTERED IT !, THE YAMS ARE PERFECT, THE CABBAGE IS A GOOD MATCH WITH THE YAMS, & CORNBREAD !
THE DESERT I WILL ALWAYS GO WITH THE BANANA PUDDING, IT'S PRICELESS, & OVERPRICED, BETTER THAN ANY OTHER PLACE I'VE HAVE RECENTLY. SOME PLACES SHOULDN'T BE ALLOWED TO SAY THAT THEY HAVE BANANA PUDDING & IF YOU TRY ESTERS YOU'LL UNDERSTAND WHY.

Garlic Roasted Baked Chicken Combo is delish! Chicken was tender and the plate was HEAVY! It's definitely 2 servings. The cabbage needed a little more flavor but was still good. The green beans were good too. Last but not least are the Black-Eyed Peas. They were good as well. It has a little kick to it but not unbearable. Will definitely order again as this was my very first time trying it.

What I most like is the consistency of the service end of the food. No matter what time of day the food is always fresh food is always tasteful. The portion is always more than enough. The Cajun fried catfish with collard greens and yams is exceptional. And I will never need to learn how to prepare a peach cobbler because I can order it from Esther's . Even the condiments are tasty - yes the tartar sauce is probably the best I've ever had . Unfortunately, I will continue to order food ofrom Esther's because of their consistency in food preparation .

The making of great mustard greens starts with ham hocks. So tasty! The making of great peach cobbler is the crust. Satisfies my sweet tooth for a week. The Cajun Pasta w/ Chicken, Sausage, & Shrimp Pasta broth/sauce, saturates the pasta so much that you want to eat all of it . I could only eat a third of it I could only eat a fourth of it. The entire meal was just delicious and I think it was delivered in record time. The food is fresh. The portion is beyond three separate meals and I have been putting off ordering from this restaurant for weeks and I would order again. I thought the cornbread was a little too crumbly, but it was so good..

Very disappointed. Okra, Sausage & Shrimp only had 1 shrimp and 2 tiny sausage. The Cajun Creole Patty A La Carte was supposed to be 2 according to the description (patties) 8.99 for a small beef pattie that's not even homemade is a little ridiculous. The Garlic Roasted Baked Chicken was dry with no gravy or sauce at all for the rice (not like I remember it) This used to be a great place. IDK what happened. The mac and cheese and green beans were delicious though.
