I ordered a pizza with pepperoni, garlic, and Ricotta. I asked for it to be cooked extra crispy. Let me tell you, THEY delivered! Never had a better pizza from this place in 30 years. That was absolute perfection. I don't know who you got working the line, but they are keepers. They know pizza. Sublime.

this place has the best pizza in Roanoke, coming from someone who grew up in CT eating NY style and New Haven Pizza (the best in the world). but they're wings and onion rings leave something to be desired sadly. I will 100% be back many times for pizza, but likely not do the apps again. calzone was ok but not amazing.

No sauce for the half-filled raviolis, not good. But the pizza was good, and is getting better all the time. Best of all, my cannolo was freshly filled as it always is there, crispy and delicious, and no longer tiny like it was (that was silly).

As a whole, I LOVE Franks. Especially their Sicilian pizzas and Limoncello Cake!
I've left reviews in the past about 2 separate orders missing the ordered desserts, but continue to praise the taste of them... and haven't ever had an issue with pizzas or other savories ordered.
Until last night. I don't know if I ordered too close to closing (wasn't intentional), or if it was a different chef, but the Sicilian Special was not good. It wasn't the usually saucy, cheesy, deliciousness at all. The cheese was lacking in both amount and flavor (looked like mozzarella only), and there was hardly any sauce on it. Peppers stood out as a main flavor (unusual), and there was less meat than in the past. It's the first time I've been disappointed with the pizza.
I'll order again, hoping this was a "one-off" because - as previously stated - their Sicilian Special and Sicilian Cheese/Pepperoni are usually mouth watering enough that I could eat them daily (and I'm not an every-day-is-pizza-day girl).

The Deluxe Calzone IS the best calzone in Roanoke! Seriously! And get the Toasted Cheese Ravioli every time. Haven't had a bad meal ever, but that Deluxe Calzone. I add onion, extra meat & cheese, no ham for the Grand Slam. Well done guys!
