Had outpatient surgery at Rush and was unable to drive. Had a craving for steak and saw Gene & Georgetti and remembered John Kass talking about how great they are and he was right. Had the 24 Oz porterhouse with onion rings and it was heavenly. In fact, I'm probably going to order it again tonight. Thanks so much!

The Spaghetti Marinara is absolutely disgusting. Noodles congealed together so it was more like a pasta cake when I was eating it. The Minestrone was okay, a little bland. NOT worth the price at all, unfortunately.

Crazy delicious! Each item from onion rings to clams to grilled steak is layered and bursting with flavor. Very impressive. It's the kind of food you would love to eat at the restaurant itself, but having it delivered from Gene & Georgetti is definitely worthwhile.
Delivery was also on point this evening—which is nice because some recent deliveries from Doordash at other venues have been a bit frustrating.

The Agnolotti was decent, wouldn't say it was amazing honestly. The size of the pasta was quite large for agnolotti, more like the size of a ravioli. I think there were 7-8 agnolotti in total. So I was expecting much smaller agnolotti and thus a greater quantity than what I received for the price. This establishment is still a fantastic Chicago institution, just wouldnt recommend this particular dish.

I have eaten here before and the service is always been impeccable, the food is always fresh and flavorful. I would definitely recommend this place to anybody. Even through DoorDash, the food came quickly and on time and it was still hot. It was absolutely perfect.
