Best overall Mexican food in west Texas. Combination Fajita Nachos is my go too. Tons of beef and chicken and lots of guacamole. I always have them cut the sour cream and tomatos and get the jalapeños on the side. Most places have good chicken fajitas but the beef fajitas is where most fall off. La bodega have the most consistantly good/lean quality beef fajitas. I have had others that are a little better at times but not consistantly good.

Large proportions on the Combination Fajita Nachos, tons of meat and guacamole . The queso with ground beef was very good. Came with a full bag of chip and salsa, most orders do. Too many Jalapeños, they always put a ton of those and, tomato's which I had cut this time.

There was practically no meat or beans or cheese. It was just a bunch of dried chips with about 100,000 jalapeños and it tasted like it was from yesterday.

Paid well over a bill for 4 plates. 2 enchilada plates that were not that great the chile relleno was ok the Steak Tampiquena had no bean cup and was pretty skimpy for the price. Haven't ate there in years and highly doubt I go back. Really disappointed because I used to love this place

Fajita nachos come packed beautifully, topping are even spread over all the chips not just in one pile. Generous portion of meat as well! And plenty of queso for every chip. But...BE AWARE it is not mentioned but they come with sour cream, jalapeños and guacamole! They should really mention that
