• 8/25/25Please make sure to read my comment. I ordered the “mild” level of spiciness for this restaurant’s mala xiang guo (spicy dry pot), but the actual spice level was absolutely unbearable—more like stomach-burning pain than anything a normal person could handle. Luckily, I ordered a non-spicy version for my breastfeeding wife; otherwise, the consequences could have been serious. In the future, I’d recommend choosing the non-spicy option. If you have sesame paste or Chinese vinegar at home, you can mix a little into the non-spicy pot—trust me, it will definitely taste better than their so-called “mild” option.

• 7/11/25The beef was clearly treated with meat tenderizer, and it was way over-marinated. The texture was mushy and fell apart instantly — really unpleasant to eat. I couldn’t finish it. Disappointing and honestly a bit gross.
