This is one of our favorite go-to Chinese restaurants in Vallejo. The serving sizes are pretty good - feeds 4 adults and have leftovers for lunch. To go orders are individual wrapped in plastic so the sauce doesn't get over the rest of the order. Tonight we had 14. Fish Fillet with Tender Greens(Bok Choy), super light and refreshing, not fishy tasting, 1. Sweet & Sour Pork, lots of bite sized crispy pork pieces that are tender, and 12. String Beans with Chicken, with tons of chicken. Food is fresh and pretty affordable, not greasy!

I always love getting food from New China Barn. I've been in lve with their food since 2017 when I used to buy it for me and my co-workers. Some of my favorite foods are their Salt Pepper Shrimp and Vegetable Chow Mein. My mom loves their Shrimp Fried Rice since there's no peas in it and she loves their Bok 2. Bok Choy with Garlic Sauce . Also, the Thai Ice Tea and Frozen Passion Fruit Drinks are great. Everything always comes fresh and hot, even seasoned to perfection.
One thing is I wish they offered lunch specials, individual meals or smaller portionson Doordash and Uber Eats. I'd hate for so much food to go to waste.

We tried them again after not being impressed in 2022, and we were pleasantly surprised. The pot stickers were fried perfectly, the walnut prawns were cooked beautifully. Taking one star away as the BBQ pork chow mein was tasty but had only tiny shards of pork. It looked like someone served us the remnants of the bottom of the pork pot. The broccoli beef was good but was skimpy on the beef.

Chicken Fried Rice and the Crab Puffs were delicious as usual, but the Beef Egg Foo Yong was awful! Too much flour as the binding agent made it too chewy and flour tasting. Still my favorite restaurant, I just wont ever order their Foo Yong again.

It's a little difficult to find a Chinese restaurant in the East Bay that offered Egg Fu 2. BBQ Pork Egg Foo Yong and, when you can, the egg patties small and thin. This egg patty, only one, was huge and thick! And the sauce was so delictable it made my mouth water just tasting it! And it was piping hot and I loved the little "care package" with the fork, napkins, soy sauce and fortune cookies (two!). If only I'd known that New China Barn existed a long time ago! This is where I'm going for my Chinese food fix from now on! My God it can't get any better than this! And my dasher was as sweet as they get...so refreshing to encounter someone so pleasant in today's society. I'd like to send her parents a thank you card!
