Gave the poor rating because of my opinion of the taste.
You can tell the ingredients were fresh but as far as taste, it needs A LOT of work. Bacon & Cheese Omelet was OK because of the portion but the homefries underneath was mostly what you taste. Everything tasted as if it was only cooked and put together, fresh but no flavor and no seasoning. Bowl Of Grits was disappointing. I love grits but these were too clumpy and mushy. Bread was soft but that's to be expected considering it was in with the omelet in the container.

The two large pork chops were very flavorful, but they were slightly overcooked and tough. I did not get the navy bean soup I ordered; it was subbed with chicken noodle soup which was okay. I loved my side of Lima beans and rice.

The #18 Crab Cake Benedict was disgusting and I don't know what kind of poor quality crab meat that was. The grits and cheese to go with it was nasty too. Taste like dirty faucet water and sour cream for some reason... the egg was even nasty. I tried this place over my other favorite breakfast diner because it had two more stars but that was a mistake. I didn't even finish eating half of this before my stomach turned. Staff was friendly during pick up but honestly this meal was disgusting and a total waste.
