Loved the dough so much but the toppings were way too sweet. The dough felt like it was artisan handcrafted by the best bakers in the world, then topped with overly sweet and cheap toppings. My son and I ended up just opening up the donuts and eating them that way which we really enjoyed.
Keep the dough the same and more natural toppings or lighter on how much sugar is added to them. Maybe something like beignets where it's powdered sugar as one of the toppings. Seriously the best donuts just got to tone down the sweetness
