As someone from Louisiana, it's back breaking trying to find food that isn't Seattle-washed wannabe Cajun. The Gumbo with Side of Rice was pleasantly surprising. Great spice and flavor. I will say it doesn't travel all too well mainly due to the shrimp and the crab included was mainly claws and the meatless part of the legs, but honestly I was just so happy to have something that reminded me so much of home that it didn't matter. Looking forward to trying more, especially the banana pudding which looks just like grandma used to make.

This was so good 😭 Wings were flavorful, mac & cheese was creamy, greens were on point, and the catfish was perfectly seasoned. Everything tasted fresh and the portions were great. Will definitely be ordering again.

Mac and cheese with the candied yams was delicious. The fried chicken was okay not much wow, but thankfully cooked enough and not super dry or overcooked. For the gumbo it had a lot of meat with shell in crab which was pleasant except the broth was very very strong and salty unfortunately. It had a hint of heat to it which was nce but extremely too salty for me.

Please remove soul food from the name, there was no soul in this meal! The chicken was dry and old & the Mac and cheese was very oily!

The cornbread was terrible, dry no flavor. The greens weren't like anything that I've ever tasted and enjoyed, nasty favor. The chicken was'nt crispy or delicious at all.The only thing tasty was the banana pudding. Peach cobbler was doughty, flavorless
