WONDERFUL burgers, etc.
from Plan B Burger Bar on the
Post Road.
The Mini Cheese Burgers were a
deconstructed form of sliders, but
with everything better: patties,
buns and cheese. They even had
little diced onions like the famous
national chain.
The Pulled Pork Mac and Jack was a
good surprise. The pork was delight-
ful and the Mac and Jack were a
toothsome (Cavatelli) and tasty treat.
The Chili was a hearty improvement
over the thin version at the burger
chain.
And the Cauliflower was a healthy
dish, and it's analog only appears
rarely at fast food joints.
Overall, Plan B is a substantive
upgrade to burger places that
you might get dragged to by your
kids. When you crave fast food,
BUT YOU WANT TO EAT BETTER.
We NEED to SUPPORT this place
and keep it thriving on the Post
Road.

DELICIOUS food from Plan B
Burger bar. Plan B offers an
alternative to fast food
burgers, hence "Plan B".
Maybe it should be Plan A
because it is markedly super-
ior to national chain burger
joints.
The Tavern Classic is just what
you expect. A burger you might
get in a Manhattan bar: double
smash patties, crisp lettuce and
onions, fresh tomato slices. GREAT
The Baja Burger was spicy, and with
all the high quality ingredients you
expect from Plan B.
The Blackened Salmon, on the other
hand, is something you could never
get from fast food. Instead, it was
exactly like an entree from a sit-down
tablecloth restaurant. DELIGHTFUL
The B Cup was a deconstructed
Hostess Chocolate Cupcake. Every
forkfull was a Choco-holics DREAM.
All in all, we are LUCKY to have
Plan B close by on the Post Road.

GREAT food from Plan B
Burger Bar on the Post Road.
We LOVE THE CONCEPT: for
when the family wants burgers,
but you want them to have a
nutritious meal, with prime
ingredients, as they might get
at a STEAKHOUSE. This is a
DELICIOUS and healthier
alternative to fast food. Hence
the name, PLAN B.
We were dismayed to hear the
Southington branch may close.
It made us rush out to support
our own, local Plan B.
We are so LUCKY to have a
Plan B so conveniently placed
on the Post Road.
The Shepherd's Pie was packed
with beef and mashed potatoes
and other pie-like vegs: onions
corn, tomatoes, etc. The ingredi-
ents tasted fresh & wholesome.
Head & shoulders above fast food
or frozen food versions.
The Caesar's Salad w/ Seared
Salmon was so much better
than what you would get with
fast food. Fresh and premium.
The Fish & Chips were AWESOME.
Overall, we fervently hope Plan B
continues to offer a WHOLESOME
& DELICIOUS ALTERNATIVE to
fast food.

Plan B presents burger joint food in a
new way, deconstructed into sit-
down restaurant QUALITY fare, LIKE
A STEAKHOUSE.
The Caesar Salad was delicious (I
had mine w/ Seared Salmon)
And we built our own Burger w/
Red Onions, LT & 'shrooms.
Delightful!
All the desserts we tried were great.
The B Cup is like a deconstructed
Hostess Choc Cupcake, but with
a mousse-cake foundation.
The packaging of the Warm Cookie
Sundae was SUPERB. The cookie
was still warm, the vanilla ice cream
(in an insulated cup) slight melted --
the way we like it. The best was the
fudge sauce, which was not sweet,
but rather slightly bitter like dark
chocolate.
In short, all entrees, sides & desserts
were like fastfood, but recon-
structed for the discerning palate of
a grown-up.

GREAT burger bar food from Plan B!
I think I've got this place figured out.
They take food from fast food outlets,
and deconstruct it, then reconstruct
it into something that would appeal
to the discerning palate of an adult,
instead of a kid who might not know
any better.
Remember Tim (Allen) the-tool-man
from TV? (Boomers & Gen X will get
this reference.) He was always hot to
"re-wire" an appliance or a power tool
into a maximalist, amped-up version
of the original.
Plan B rewires burger joint items into versions that you'd want them to be.
A fastfood Fish Fillet sandwich turns
into a substantial piece of breaded
Cod on a (real) Brioche bun w/ let-
tuce and tomato freshly sliced (not
from a bin -- or maybe from a really
nice salad bar bin.)
We ordered an extra slice of cheddar
to reverse the decision of a famous
chain to reduce the American cheese
on their fillet to half a slice.
SO, fast food burgers rewired to a
steakhouse level of quality.
OUTSTANDING.
