I ordered the chole bhature and was really disappointed. The chole were nothing like traditional chole, which are usually thick and dry. Instead, they were watery, almost like a curry, and it felt like someone had just added water. The taste reminded me of food from a railway station rather than a proper restaurant.
The bhature were actually good—soft, fresh, and much better than the chole. However, the onion pickle was also disappointing. It is usually served with a nice red colour, but this one was orange and didn’t look very appealing.
The only thing that really stood out was the salted lassi. It was perfectly made, refreshing, and easily the best part of the meal.
Overall, I wouldn’t recommend the chole bhature. The bhature and lassi were decent, but the chole let the whole dish down.
