Hands down the best BBQ restaurant in Illinois! Flavorful, tender, with the right amount of spice, portions large enough to feed multiple people, affordable and worth every penny! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

The "Bonefire" was supposed to feed 2-3 people. Our meal was missing one of the meats, sausage; the ribs were skimpy. There were maybe 6 potato wedges, dry and almost burned. The vegetables were a single serving of less than a half cup. For over $50. Disappointing quality and quantity.

We love the variety of options. The Smokey Bones Signature Baby Back Ribs, the Pulled Pork, and the BBQ Chicken are all tender, freshly prepared and flavorful. We enjoyedthe coleslaw, baked beans and wings as well. The portions of the combination meals are generous and always enjoy leftovers. Our food was packaged very well so we received still hot upon delivery. We are never disappointed by Smokey Bones and look forward to enjoying their food and ordering again in the near future. 😋

I have to say that of all the times I have dined-in, ordered online for pickup or had orders delivered from Smokey Bones, today was a bit more disappointing than I normally get. The smoked jumbo wings were overcooked almost dried out. I only got two flats but ten drummies in my order. Usually I get an even balance of flats & drummies. I ordered a double order of the "bones way" sauce plus ordered an additional order of the same at cost. I received only one order...not enough for the way I like my wings sauced. Finally, on such a cold day the Smoked Brisket Chili sounded appealing. I ordered the bowl. Sadly there were several large pieces of brisket fat in the bowl. I'm sure the brisket fat enhanced the taste of the chili, but again I was puzzled why those large pieces were not removed from the container. When I removed the fatty chunks, it took the volume of the bowl down quite a bit.
This is not the high level of quality I have been accustomed to from Smokey Bones. I hope some of the oversites can be attributed to NFL playoff games and excess preparation because of fan/crowd expectations.
Will I return to Smokey Bones again? Yes.

The food was good, don't get me wrong. But I order loaded mashed potatoes and have the ingredients was in a bag instead of in the bowl. Then the rub tips, was lacking BBQ sauce, but again their was some in the bag instead of on the food. Not to mention I only got 11 tips for $13 and it came in a huge box.
