Oh WOW.I am from the deep south and move to Washington 2 years ago. I searched and searched for a meal that reminded of home. it wasn't until Today when I tried the Chicken Fried Steak Dinner that felt like I was home.This is my new favorite place! Also the portion sizes are huge. I appreciate that because now I have 2 meals for the price of one

Southern kitchen is my favorite restaurant I've ever had. Gloria's Southern Fried Chicken Feast is DELICIOUS and the portions are huuuuge. I always have enough food for two days. The chicken is perfectly seasoned and so crispy. The macaroni tastes homemade and incredible. The mashed potatoes and gravy seriously hits. Their gravy is so divine! I have to get the side of Candied Yams every time too because it's so delicious. The corn cake is a super nice addition. I can't recommend this place enough, and the people here are always so sweet. That true southern hospitality! Love you Southern!

I enjoyed the Half Southern Fried Chicken, I got a breast thigh and wing, but it does say free range for the price. The breast was moist and tender and the breading was light and flavorful! Pic shows we ate it all! The collard greens were as expected, not for everyon, but I liked them. I also loved the yams! Pay l's Sweet Potato Pie was a bit too sweet for my taste but I did enjoy all the spices in it, crust was so so. Fried Green Tomatoes were good but would be a lot better fresh and hot. Jalapeno Hush Puppies were very good ate over half.
The Hands down, this restaurant is a go to and sit down place to fully enjoy the food and experience! My bad...things get soggy in transit.

The wings were okay. Everything else was horribly bland. The Mac and cheese tasted like boiled noodles, the greens had zero flavor, the red beans and rice were tasteless, the catfish was okay, fried a little too hard. The candied yams were not candied. Barely sweet. Very good portions. Too bad the food was not good. Will not return.
