I dont know if it's the "Tuesday" chef, but everything I got was mediocre at best.
I usually get the Ultimate Fish and Chips, and I'm always excited to see that big piece of fish, but it just was not good. The batter, which is usually light and crispy, was thick and chewy, the inside of the batter where the fish is was just uncooked. The batter was like a thick piece of fabric. It came off the fish in one piece and FOLDED. The batter pulled away from the fish as soon as I cut it. The fish inside was fine. I ate that on its own. Can I also say that while we got a couple of little containers of tartar sauce for the fish, they were only halfway filled. Not enough for the fish.
The Shepherds Pie, which is usually pretty good, was a bit tinny, very metallic in taste. For the price of this dish, it was not done well—as well as I have had it here in the past.
Buffalo wings were good. No problem there.
Salad was good as well.
All in all, for spending over $100 for dinner, I don't think I got my money's worth.
I'll be taking a break from you, St Stephen's Green. I'm very disappointed.

I got a Guinness steakpie and it had big hunks of slimy fat (34). I also ordered the the salmon plate ($36.40) that was about the size of a kid's serving. Both came with mashed potato's missing the promised gravy on all orders. Then to add insult to injury they included a DoorDash price mark up of over 20%! I don't like being taken by unscrupulous restaurants. I won't order here again and suggest you use caution with this restaurant!

Ordered 2 shepherds pies for delivery and just opened one to find they didn't top it with mashed potatoes. We usually love this place and orders haven't been an issue but who sends a pie with just the mince and not the topping?

The burger was so simple and LUXE!
We didn't want a "fast food" burger and we got exactly what we wanted.
