Sushi Freak is hands down one of my favorite places to grab sushi in Las Cruces! The ingredients are always fresh, the portions are generous, and I love being able to customize my roll exactly the way I like it. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and works quickly without sacrificing quality. The restaurant is clean, the atmosphere is fun and casual, and every visit has been a great experience. Whether you’re craving a sushi burrito, poke bowl, or a classic roll, Sushi Freak is definitely worth a visit. Highly recommend to anyone looking for fresh, delicious sushi with outstanding customer service! 🍣👏

I did the "Create Your Own" poke Poké Bowl and it was delicious! Very good price and the add-ins were generously portioned. They sent one sauce on the side and it was very good. I ordered 2 bowls, and they were equally delicious both warm when they arrived and cold the next day.

Yuck. We've been to Sushi Freak before and it was ok but today it was an expensive waste of food. We had a group of four and ended up tossing out half our order because it was so bad. The Dragon Roll was ok but it was the most expensive item at nearly $20. The Kookmeyer burrito had too much rice packed in it so it was clumpy and fell apart after unwrapping. There was very little calamari and avocado and just a smear of cream cheese. I think there were only two jalapeno slices per half burrito. The burrito sizes have gotten smaller since the Sushi Freak franchises first opened. The cup of spicy sauce that came with the burrito popped open during delivery so everything in the bag was covered in sauce. The Hakuna Tuna Poke Bowl had very little tuna, way too much cucumber, and the seaweed salad had a weird aftertaste. It also stained the rice bright green. How much artificial dye was in this? 2/3 of the bowl was just rice despite the menu description saying it only had "a scoop." What were they using, a garden trowel? The Teriyaki Solo was the worst of the bunch. The chicken had no flavor and it was so soft it was just mush. The salad was just a pile of lettuce and it also included two huge heaps of rice. We had some credit and discounts so we didn't pay full price but our total was still $75 and would have been closer to $90 otherwise. Ignoring the marked up prices and fees, the quality of the food is nowhere near justifiable for what we paid. We're not eating from here again and will definitely reconsider our delivery options.

Sushi Freak is my go-to for last minute impulse delivery sushi here in Las Cruces. Their new location on Lohman Ave goes above and beyond! Three excellent rolls, individually packaged, with plenty of wasabi, exactly how I like it! I like to start with the "Spicy Tuna" as an appetizer. Usually choose the "New Mexican" for my main course. Then finish with the "Caterpillar" for dessert! Thanks guys! Most Excellent!

This sushi burrito was nasty and didn’t taste fresh at all.
As a sushi lover, this is not it. The roll was dry, bland, and mostly rice with no real flavor. The spicy mayo and unagi sauce were on the outside, mixed together, instead of being inside the burrito where they belong. I shouldn’t have to dip a sushi burrito just to make it edible.
For $37, I expected fresh, properly assembled sushi not something this careless and disappointing. If you actually like sushi, this isn’t the move.
On a positive note: the gyoza was pretty good. That was the only thing that hit.
Still, overall extremely disappointed.
