Founded in 2020 by Chef Marcos Ascencio and Oliver Poilevey, the original Chingón became a cult favorite in Bucktown, known for its unapologetic flavors, signature Al Pastor trompo, and weekly special…
Burrito was delicious, Churros are off the charts. Everything I have had here is the best.

I was very excited to try this place given all the hype on social media. Overall, I would say it was good, but not outstanding at least in terms of what I prefer, and given the price, not the best value. The Breakfast Burrito was good but felt like more of an elevated novelty take on a breakfast burrito, so worth trying but in my opinion there are many superior ones in the city and I'm glad I tried it but I don't think I'll be craving it again soon. The Chingón Crunchwrap Wednesdays was very good and huge. I would recommend trying that and would order it again on occasion.

They increased the price by nearly $2 for the Skirt Steak, yet the taco shell has gone much smaller, as with the portion size of the steak. Taste is decent, but the tacos are no longer worth the price. Used to be a frequent customer...

Food was really good, the Duck Carnitas were my favorite. The Half Rice /Half Frijoles were perfect portion and tasty. The food was reasonably fresh, would definitely order from here again. The only issue was the food arrived without any utensils or napkins which made eating the beans and rice difficult.

We've loved Taqueria Chingon for years, but they've gotten so expensive and for less food. It used to be that 2 tacos each and an order of guacamole would fill you up, but this time the tacos were sparsely filled and more expensive, and we were still hungry after. I love their food, but I don't think we'll spend that much for takeout again. I know things have gotten more expensive in general, but for $11/taco, I'd expect more.
