I don't recommend the salsa and chips as they only give you a 2 ounce cup of salsa. That being said, the burrito was HUGE and absolutely amazing. If you're looking for authentic Mexican food, this is the place.

This was a great meal. The Horchata water was amazing and it has great flavor. Is asked for the chicken Street Tacos (5 Pieces) with only cheese and chciken and they came out just perfect. Great job to machetes!!

I had the Papa Machetes, my first getting food here and having this dish. It looked so good in the picture and it did not fail. It was amazing and it came with all these little containers of sauces, onions and cilantro. Great portion size and I'm embarrassed to say I ate the whole thing, it was that good. Highly recommend, will be a go to next time Im in town.

Second time ordering from here and once again, truly amazing food. Read some of the older reviews and was concerned but once again they Aced the meal. Don't believe the nay sayers, I had the Papa Machetes with the marinated pork and it was out of this world good. My favorite meal when I come to Fredericksburg.

very disappointing. i have ordered the poblano taco since they opened this location and over the last 6 months or so,the quality has gone down and the amount of toppings has been less and less. today, they actually sent me the taco on a small shell with not much for toppings. this taco used to fill the plate. today it was half, but the price is the same. the flavor wasn't as good either. the Street Tacos (5 Pieces) tacos were also disappointing with no flavor and the shells just fell apart. we have supported Machetes since they opened, but this may be our last order. I am so heartbroken. I love machete. he is great, but we haven't seen him in months, and this place is just getting worse every time. I can no longer spend my hard earned money here. I was hoping they would stay true to us locals, but unfortunately they are another FBG restaurant pandering to the tourists. what a waste.
