"The potential of this sandwich! But alas, the Giddy Up Melt fell a little short. *Keep in mind this is my review when all the food was lukewarm. Meat is great, just wish there was a little more of it for the price. There was about 20-30% of bread with no meat. Way too salty, the cheese is salty enough (I like salt, but this made it almost inedible) Glad I got it with no pickles or the salt content would have been a lot higher. Not enough sauce (if there was more, the sweetness could have balanced out the salt a bit), sandwich was dry. Way too greasy, ease up on the butter for the bread, we want it nice and toasted not drowning in grease, and if you use salted butter I would switch. "Texas french toast w/topping tasted yummy even though I didn't get the fudge drizzle I was anticipating. The fruit topping was surprisingly fresh. The 3 Buttermilk pancakes were loved my children and enormous in size. The Breakfast Sandwich was good according to my husband. The utensils with napkins and syrup condiments were great complementary additions to our food order. We appreciate the little things. Fruit salad delux was enough to share amongst the family. Thank you for making my Mother's Day breakfast that much easier. "
"The quality of the ingredients was superb from the eggs to the cheese to the meats. The Bacon or sausage doesn't have an option to pick, but we got bacon and it was amazing. Cooked perfectly, incredibly flavorful. Very crispy without being burnt. The works omelette was outstanding, loaded with cheese but still balanced. And the toast was perfect for us. We prefer soft toast with butter soaked in and it's exactly like that. A new favorite spot."

"After reading all of the reviews I opted for the Irish Benedict and it did NOT disappoint!!! Flavor is there, eggs were cooked perfectly and better yet all the food was HOT!! I also haven't had coffee in quite an awhile and decided to grab their iced coffee and it was just the right bold I love and they provided cream and sugar on the side. Will most definitely be ordering from here again hopefully next time I'll be home and not at work."

There was a decent amount of linguica, but I kind of thought it would be chopped up and folded into the omelette. Otherwise, I could have just ordered scrambled eggs with linguica. And no home fries -- next time I will get the eggs instead. Also, the "Big" appetizer didn't come with either hamburger sliders or fries. And the only sauce was marinara. It had a ton of onion rings, though. All in all, this is not what I've come to expect from Athena's."
