The cheese on the taquitos is just thrown on every single time, and doesn't even melt on the taquitos evenly whatsoever. It's actually comical sometimes how messily it's thrown together. Also, even when they remember to include my rice and beans, it's thrown on top of everything, super messy. Just like the cheese. And all the missing items. The attention to detail is just not there. I used to be a fan but I probably will not be ordering here again. And the taquitos are the only affordable item on the menu. The rest is horribly overpriced. A side of plain tortilla chips is $5? My suggestion is to go with the $16 French Toast (Six Halves) or pancakes, since $23 for a dinky omelette is rude. Especially when they short you a pancake. "

The 2nd order we placed was for chargrilled chicken dish that again had almost zero chicken and what arrived was nasty shredded chicken mixed in the dish. The order was supposed to also include carne asade but wasn't included. Also the chips and salsa were absent. We had to order dinner elsewhere. My last review here for shrimp tacos was 5 stars. I'll never eat here again and delete my previous review. Also, I raved about this place bc of the fresh limes for skinny margaritas, which they no longer use. Last 2 visits in person, the bartenders use a premade mix for this expensive specialty drink. WE WON'T GO BACK. Food and drinks now are super low quality! "

"I did not order via DoorDash yet, but since I have eaten the food I would like to leave a review for a restaurant I just bookmarked. Their ribeye and chicken are tender and juicy, the rice is perfect not over cooked like some other places, the vegetables are crisp fresh and tasty. Oh! The chicken looks literally is SMASHED CHICKEN MUSH! And they put the lettuce on the taco to hide the fact that they're too cheap to use chunks of fresh hot grilled chicken in the tacos! I cut the burtito n half to view the REAL WHITE CHICKEN that I paid extra for. Its really hit bottom since the 80s when there was 1 el pollo loco on East Chapman in East Orange befire you head over the hill toward Irvine Lake. There shouldn't be a distinction of what item gets what "chicken". A $5 taco shouldn't be a 1/4" thick mush. It should look like it use to. Fresh grilled chicken breast anf thigh cut from the bone. "Its a long ways back to what it was. I went to El Pollo Loco in East Chapman Ave in Orange back in 1987. It was delicious Chicken only grilling right there behind the cashier in plain sight. The legs, breasts, thighs were huge. And it was so delicious with a buttery lemon taste. No burritos, no tacos. Chicken! 3pieces with a fountain coke, there was corn tortillas and corn on the cob I believe. This order 2 nights ago...A BRC burrito was fine. Kind of hard to mess up. I got the hot salsa which was better. The tacos...Mushy almost ground chicken...brown lettuce. Brokrn shells. No cheese, no rice. It was a mess. Wet...greasy. Back in the Spring these tacos were delicious. White chicken meat. What happened?"

"Baja charges so much money for their food, which I'm happy to pay. The DoorDash orders seem to be sub-par though.
