"NY born and raised and Joe's is probably the closest to NY/NJ Pizza I have tried in the LA area. I love all pizza but thier is a reason I still order from here after moving from Sherman Oaks to Northridge (of course I make it worth the drive with a very generous tip).

"Cheese pie: crust tastes burnt, but feels wet at the same time. So what I have is a soggy burnt crust the texture of naan. Cheese is good.
Calzone: massive disappointment. Wet dough, undercooked, and poorly balanced ingredients. Maybe a meat topping once every 3-4 bites. The rest of the time I was chewing on wet dough and a mouthful of bland cheese and sauce.

So I had to choose a pepperoni and then add toppings, which is fine but not user friendly if you want something other than the 4 or 5 pizza choices they feature. They should have more of a selection.
