Similar to Irish pubs and Spanish tapas bars, a Japanese Izakaya is a relaxed location where you may enjoy after-work drinking and chatting while also enjoying a range of appetizers and cuisine. What …
I just met my new favourite sushi. The Black Dragon Roll is for people who like a bit of extra flavour when it comes to sushi. The tempura did not feel soggy compared to other places that have tempura inside the roll, everything was great. I will try their other stuff FOR sure

The 3. Spicy Salmon Poke was soooooo good. Perfect level of spice, all the flavours worked so well together. I added avocado as well. Very fresh, great portion, though I wouldn't have mind just a bit more. This is my new favorite dish to order.

The Poke Bowl was missing a bunch of ingredients listed on the menu - there was no cured egg yolk, no wakame salad, and the greens were wet and wilted.
The taste was good, but for $20 I would have expected a larger portion of the higher-value items, and fresher ingredients in general. As it is, I wouldn't order this again, and would recommend you try Jukai instead for poke, even though I usually really love Kanpai Izakaya's dishes.

I had the Tako Yaki, it was mediocre at best if I'm being honest, it was soupy in the middle and the squid was impossible to chew, expected some crunch to it, greatly disappointed. Got the 3. Spicy Salmon Roll as it was said to be one of the top orders, it was basically room temp when I got it, extremely soft, not at all like many other sushi's I've had. It's redeemed only in the fact that it's actually spicy and the rice is well done. Checked their google reviews and they have 2 stars...honestly not surprised by that rating.
