Hayes Valley’s favorite Chinese-American takeout joint takes a fun and contemporary approach to your favorite Chinese dishes.
At Lazy Susan, the standard Chinese-American takeout menu is pared back to…
Moved from CT 2 years ago - some of the best Chinese food (most similar to what I'm used to from home) I've had in The City. Orange Chicken was crispy and saucy, made with fresh orange zest. The Garlic Broccoli and Sauteed String Beans were the perfect crunchy tender with great flavor and spice.

Would not order again. General Tso's Chicken was so dry/chewy, I ended up spitting a lot out. Chow Mein (Veggie) was totally bland, overly greasy and had a couple pieces of cabbage- nothing else.
To add insult to injury they only gave 1 fortune cookie?

I definitely would not order the Chinese Chicken Salad again. For $16, I had to assemble my salad on a plate that I provided...its not ready to eat. It came in two Chinese takeout containers and not a bowl/plate container. Mostly huge rough chopped cabbage, a small amount of chicken and a few shreds of carrot and some mint sprigs (including stems). The oranges were not segmented and the seeds were left in it. Flavor wise it was just ok but this is not a very well thought out dish for takeout. Maybe it would be better in restaurant but it was very poorly executed. Not worth the $16 plus fees.
The orange chicken plate was not much better, everything was soggy, including the eggroll. The dish was in one rectangle container with no venting so the crisp orange chicken and eggroll basically turned into mush. Again, not worth the $20 plus fees
Unfortunately, this was very disappointing because of the lack of planning on how the dishes would turn out when ordered as takeout. Better packaging could help this.

Orange Chicken and Crab Rangoon were fire! Rangoon was crispy and the orange chicken was a large portion easily split by 2. V good.

For starters, portion sizes were underwhelming for all of the items we ordered.
General Tso's Chicken was indistinguishable from the Orange Chicken. Both were incredibly chewy / dry and no one enjoyed eating it.
Garlic Broccolis ridiculous this cost $15 for like 12 bites. Only had standard broccoli, no Chinese broccoli and it smelled a little funky. There was broccoli in most of our dishes and it all had a kind of stale stink to it
Hot and Sour Soup was good, but why are there huge pieces of broccoli floating in it? Fried Rice (Beef) was good, beef chunks were tender. Crab Rangoon was fine, nothing special
I really wanted to love this place, but sadly would probably not order here again.
