Family owned and operated, Kashin opened its doors in 1991 with the intention of bringing the freshest and most authentic Japanese cuisine to the Triangle. Twenty-five years and a generation later, we…
I have been visiting this restaurant for over 3 years since I moved to the area. Kashin is an outstanding location for authentic Japanese food. Without a doubt the best miso soup in Raleigh. The food is consistently incredible, prepared with care and attention. The staff is polite and earnest. The kitchen staff is talented and detailed. I would recommend Kashin to anyone and I will continue to patronize this location so long as I am in Raleigh.

For the price of the dish you would think the amount of food would be bigger. And it doesn't even taste all that good. The tempura is soggy and the teriyaki doesn't even taste like teriyaki. It just tastes smoky. Definitely not ordering again.

These rolls were TASTY!! They were filling, fresh, and had thick pieces of fish/seafood in them. They were so good, I want to order again tomorrow. The fresh salmon and tuna melted in my mouth. They threw in the side of spicy mayo I requested for free, so that was a nice surprise. The to-go bag had a mint in it, so that was a nice surprise. Very impressed and can't say enough good things about this sushi spot.

Extremely small portions for the price you pay. Shrimp Shrimp Tempura Roll was the most depressing of the items ordered. Miso is good but maybe 6oz for the price.

Got the mackerel lunch and the portion was really disappointing. Portion was not even a whole filet (maybe not even half) and mackerel is a small fish. For $14 was definitely not filling
