Love this place, order often. The fish is very fresh! vey high quality tuna. Note that the Bluefin Akami Sashimi had three pieces, my photo shows two orders. Very delicious! We order often and will again.

Maguro Crudo this was unbelievable delicious and kinda small. Best thing out of everything I ordered.Chicken Fat Rice just okay.Hamachi Maki just okay.Ebi Maki also just okay. everything was packaged nicely. and everything was tiny.

We tried the buy-one-get-one sushi special for our first visit. I’ve honestly never had sushi where the pieces of fish were so large yet somehow so flavorless. Both the Masu Maki and Hamachi Makihad surprisingly little fish flavor.
We also ordered the Negitoro Maki, which wasn’t part of the special and is normally one of my favorite rolls, but unfortunately it had the same issue. The fish just lacked the flavor and freshness I expect from good sushi.
The one standout was the fat rice, which I’d give a 7/10.
We were originally going to go to Handies today, and after this meal, I wish we had. In my experience, the quality there is far superior for only a few dollars more

As one of Aiko’s biggest fans I’m so disappointed by Kokoro. I got many of the same things I got at Aiko and these just seemed flavorless. The karaage just tastes like flour and the cucumbers make it taste spoiled. The nigiri I got had no strong flavors everything was just so mild and bland when it’s usually my favorite bites. The maki rolls were also just nothing to write home about. I was extremely excited to support more of this owners business at a cheaper price point but this fell short

One of my favorite sushi places in Houston! Truly everything is good but the Chicken Fat Rice is one of my favorite dishes I have discovered this year. Period. Check them out!
