Potsticker taste test for two of us: Juicy Pork Potstickers (6) was the winner. It live up to its juicy name and was well seasoned. It was perfect. Chicken Potstickers (6) and Beef Potstickers (6) were in a tie for second place. I thought the Vegetarian Potstickers were in a three way tie, but my son did not like them. We often disagree on vegetables. Pork Fried Bao(6) is still my favorite Bao in town though it seems like there is a little less meat than in the past. I was surprised to hear that someone had raw meat. I have ordered potstickers here over fifty times, maybe 100, and I never had anything raw. They used to have an inconsistency problem (with burning/overcooking) but that was years ago.
I tried the Pork Egg Roll (1) for the first time. It was good. We had the custard Bao for dessert. It has improved over the years and is quite good.

The Vegetarian Steamed Bao (6) are fluffy and so flavorful that you do not need a dipping sauce. I will definitely order them again. The Vegetarian Dumpling Noodle Soup was really good too! The soup came in a separate container which I appreciate as you can season it to your preference (it's very bland) before pouring it over the thick, chewy noodles and plump dumplings. The portions are sizeable and ingredients very fresh!

As always, everything was hot, flavorful, and clearly handmade. Even the sauces they include with the dim sum are wondeful! My family loves the Beijing NoodleFried Pork Bao (6)Beef Potstickers (6)Scallion Pancake (1) and many other dishes, and they always arrive hot, fresh, and generously portioned. Hip Bao keeps us coming back!

All bao buns had light filling. Fried Chicken Bao (6) and the Beef Steamed Bao (6) tasted decent, soft and warm. Egg Custard Bao (6) was sweet like a marshmallow. Price point should be adjusted.

In the past Hip Bao had consistency problems. They have clearly fixed this problem. I have not had a dish prepared wrong there in a couple of years and over 30 items ordered. Meanwhile, Pork Fried Bao(6) is still the best Bao in town. Beef Potstickers (6), Chicken Steamed Bao(6), and taro bao were all liked by everyone. The Chicken Dumplings (12 ) were an upside surprise. I did not realize it was a soup when I ordered it, but everyone liked it.
