My go to Mexican spot now for over a year. Eat here at least once a month. Rarely, if ever, have had a bad experience. Red salsa is hella spicy but really good. I usually get quesadillas, the birria burrito, and the Basket of Chips. I don't like take out for tacos but in the restaurant they're great as well.

"Love this place" is an understatement. I've gotten the same meal every order or visit. My order is the El pistolero. Ordering on and off since they replaced Wrigley BBQ(2021) Their consistency is unreal, quite frankly unmatched. The portion is excellent, the quality of the the ingredients shows. I can tell they care, I've dined in, taken Togo, with friends & family. I can't stress every time was like the first. Cliche as it sounds, a must try gem of Wrigley & Chicago as a whole. It's a bonus the staff is amazing. They recognized my consistency(heehee) and personalized my Togo box with a message. Te quiero este lugar, it wouldn't be Xicago Mexican food without them on the scene.

The avocado was so hard and not at all ripe. I had to remove all the avocados that I already HAD to pay extra for in the first place. A veggie taco should already include an avocado. Total bummer because this place is pretty good . Quesadilla with Carne is not at all a quesadilla, it was beyond disappointing, they shouldn't even sell it. The chips are insanely geasy, the bag is pure oil/fat.

Al Pastor Magic was the best taco I've had in Lakeview. insane amount of Basket of Chips. highly recommend.

The Queso for the Queso & Chips is straight up melted cheese so if you are into that sort of thing, it is the best Queso. I've eaten here multiple times and the La Activista Tostadas with chicken are consistenly good.
