The goat curry is absolutely wonderful, was literally falling off the bone. Samosas are the best I've had in Redding. Pricewise, I'm very happy with the amount of food I got. Just be aware that rice doesn't come with the main dishes, you have to order separately but it's only $2. Will definitely be coming back to explore the menu!

Chicken Biryani, Lamb Saag, Samosa 2 Pieces and Dal Makhani were all delicious, but also reasonably priced. Their food quality was beyond my expectations and by far the best Indian food in Redding and a thousand times better than their competitors. This place even went above and beyond to include complimentary achar (pickle), side onions and yogurt.

Punjabi Restaurant in Redding is hands down the best and fairest-priced spot in town.
Forget the overpriced, a la carte Indian places—this guy knows what he’s doing on a whole other level. The chicken tikka masala, basmati rice, garlic naan, and samosas are all outstanding.
The owner is not only talented but also kind, welcoming, and genuinely makes you love India through his cooking. Every dish is flavorful, generous, and made with heart.
Do yourself a favor: try this place today. Bring the neighbors, grandma, grandpa, the whole retirement home—even the dogs, cats, llamas, sheep, and goats. (Just don’t be surprised if the sheep and goats end up on the menu 😉).
Punjabi is truly a gem in Redding.

The Lamb Curry has a decent amount of lamb chunks. It's great to dip the Garlic Naan into it and I also dipped my Samosa 2 Pieces into the liquid. All really good. I haven't gotten it for months and it's still the same as before.

Kind of sad that the mint chutney was loose but decent flavor. We just like a bit more chunk in the chutney. Tamarind chutney was very good. Missing our Garlic Naan. Portions are good. Everything tasted very fresh (mint chutney could have been fresher, thicker). I would order again because the gal that answered the phone was soooo sweet and I feel like tried to be very accommodating. Menu showed bone-in tandoori chicken, it was boneless which is NOT a bad thing. I think this business totally deserves a try, again love the staff!
