Ordered for the 4th and food was delish but they need quality control bad. We ordered the Feeds 4-6 , pulled pork was very chunky, had to "pull it" ourselves, paid $6 extra for brisket that was tender but the last 2 pieces were thick fat globs. It's by weight so we only had 3 edible slices, that was very upsetting. The baked beans were 70% sauce that we actually had to drain them. The mac was ok, it was so bland. The greens had more stems than leaves in it and the bbq sauces weren't labeled so that was fun. Overall the food was good, we just feel robbed. As if they were running out of items so they just handed us anything. Will not be returning in person or delivery.

The Cobb Salad is always fresh tasting! Unlike many other restaurants the salad really looks in-person, as advertised! That smoked bacon sets it aside from the rest. Honey mustard is top notch also! I like their bbq but LOVE this salad!

EVERY time I get City Barbecue, everything is great. probably the most consistent restaurant in Lexington.
The Motherload is spectacular. Generous portions of Brisket, chicken, turkey, pulled pork, sausage, ribs...my only critique, this time, the ribs were a bit overdone and dry.
Corn Pudding was awesome. Green Beans, Slaw, Tater salad, MacNChz, Baked Beans... all very very good.Pint of BBQ Sauce is a must. I love the Brushfire, it's very spicy. Pint of Pickles is also a excellent choice. and finally a quart of Peach Cobbler... omg, save room for this. I could eat the whole quart myself. There's enough food to feed my family of 3 for 3 days.

City BBQ is usually very good. That is why I had no issue paying 42.35 for a sandwich, 3 side items and lemonade. PROBLEM: Mac n cheese dried out to the point of being hard (pic). Hushpuppies extremely overcooked to the point of hardly any inside, only crumbly, falling apart coating (pic)

I was surprised at how wonderful the two meat meal was. The brisket so tender it melted in your mouth with a fork to cut small pieces. The breast and wing tender just right. The fresh cole slaw and baked beans just perfect not too sweet or bitter. I would recommend this for out of town company as casual home bar-b-que any time.
