Food was great and quantity is amazing. Delivery was just horrible, placed order at 11 and didn't receive food until 1:30. The first driver dropped order because a long line when he got there. I ordered 2 pork chop plates with Mac and cheese, collards, fried okra, combo 3 and soul egg rolls.

I was told by a few people this place was good. I feel like the portion for the money is good. The packaging was great but my food tasted like it was good but not.It tasted like it was fried in old grease

I LOVE this restaurant!! It's always fresh and so flavorful! It's just like being at your grannys house on a Sunday after church. I eat here weekly (which probably isnt good) but I love to support! If you're deciding on what to try , whatever you do... get some greens !!!! It will change your life!

This entire order was amazing! I am from Chicago and was craving some true authentic and delicious soul food. May be one of the best plates of food I've ever had.
And the food was still hot, especially the wings because I had to wait for them to cool down.
I took a chance ordering here as I have never heard of this place. Thank God I did! Appropriate and fair portions for the price and the seasoning on everything was just amazing! I mean seriously. Just heartwarmingly good.
This will now be my go to when craving soul food cuisine. Cannot wait to try their other dishes.

You know I saw the good reviews on this spot so I ordered three different entrées.
I ordered the Pork Chops Plate with macaroni and cheese and candied yams. The pork chops were okay. Not anything special, but good. The macaroni and cheese was by far the BEST out of everything ordered. I give that a 9. The candied yams were good, but the more I ate the them the worse they got. Maybe a bit too much sweetening.
Southern Fried Chicken Plate with collard greens and cabbage. The chicken was good but only the skin had been seasoned. The cabbage was not great. They had too much garlic and soy sauce. The collards greens for me were not good. Not cooked enough and whatever was used to provide the smoke flavor really killed it for me.
Southern Fried Catfish Plate with okra. Catfish and okra were good.
For dessert I ordered the Sweet Potato Cheesecake Egg Rolls and it didn't grab me.
Overall, I would say it was good. But for the ratings I saw, I was expecting to be smacking my lips from every bite I took and saying uuuweee.
I will give it another shot since maybe something was just off that day.
