We are a local, woman owned pub/restaurant/live entertainment venue located downtown in the heart of Joplin. We opened our doors in 2007. The Bloody Mary Pizza is a fan favorite.
FIrst thing that is important to note is that i mostly do not like pizza very much. However my partner LOVES pizza. So I ordered from Blackthorn for him really. We got three different kinds of pizza. It was sooooo good. Chris tried cheeseburger pizza for the first time. He was skeptical about it. Now he keep telling people how great it was.
I usually don't like pizza crust. It's just too much bread with some stuff on it. And the tomato sauces are often overwhelming. Way too much of it and overly flavored so you can't taste other things. BUt this crust was wonderful. THey offer different sauces and they put a reasonable amount on there. All the ingredients tasted very good. And i spent less than when i try to get pizza i don't hate from somewhere else.

I saw the picture of the Mine Shaft and instantly started craving it. It looked and tasted EXACTLY how I was hoping it would and absolutely hit the spot. It was hot and fresh when I picked it up and was the perfect size. 15/10 can't recommend enough!

Just amazing. Blackthorn has made me like pizza again. Even crave it at times. So good!!!
The pink sauce is really great. one large pizza is enough for two people to get full and have leftovers because it has toppings for real and not just crust. The ingredients always seem like excellent quality with real flavor.

I am officially a full on convert to loving pizza again because of Blackthorn. Any time my partner wanted pizza i inwardly groaned and usually tried for something else. But now i am the one saying... Babe i want pizza. If other pizza makes you sad... TRY IT PLEASE. They are piling on these toppings. And the toppings are so much better. The taste difference between just simple ingredients that Blackthorn uses vs the barely food stuff that some places use, it's not even close. I can't eat that much at once because it's thick a lot of real food. Everytime we get pizza we have a whole leftover pizza day the next day lol.

Excellent Big A** Pretzel! Super big! Yummy! The Reuben was great also. Super fresh! I've ordered from here many times and never a bad meal.
