Normally, I give a lengthy review. Just order it. Order what you say, ALL OF IT!!! NOM NOM NOM!!!
I ordered the Southern Fried Chicken Breast plate, with a Vegetable Plate and a Side Catfish (1) and let me tell you all of it was good. Each plate comes with two generous sides, but being indecisive as I am, the Vegetable Plate was a must as you have the option of THREE side dishes making it the perfect sampler so you can try it all. All together it made 5 sides. *Cornbread - is a mini loaf served with honey butter Excellent.
*Greens - perfectly seasoned better than my MILs.
*Potato Salad - So good I served myself a second tasting
*Coleslaw - oooooohhhhh the flavor balance. a bit too finely shredded for my texture preferences but so good.
*Yams - Better than mine! The depth of flavors. I'm in love.
On to the mains, Catfish crisp, tasty, well seasoned, and the sauce Baby! Fried Chicken Breast includes the wing honestly I split it to make two meals. Oh so good. Go get it now!

This place rarely misses. I had my favorite Mom's Meatloaf (even though the portion was smaller than last times) & I love it. My side salad & mashed potatoes were excellent. They have some of the best Cole Slaw around. The Vegetable Plate was great per usual. The cornbread was fresh & warm. If you're looking for homecooked southern cuisine, this is your place.

I loved my order. This was my first time ordering from this place. The meatloaf was amazing! It was thinner sliced than I've ever seen but it was great. The large salad w/ ranch, superb! The home fries (potatoes), excellent! Homemade slaw, great! Cant say enough good things! Bravo!

I ordered hard fried and soft fried green tomatoes, and a side of chopped beef bbq. What a rip off!!!! The 4 very thin slices of small green tomatoes per order had no taste! $9.30 for a half of a tomato!!!! Are you kidding me?!? The beef bbq tasted like bread and butter pickles, horrible!!! How do they stay in business? Never ordering from Mert's again!!!!

Salmon tasteful, collards great, black eyed peas on point, cornbread delicious, fried wings finger licking good! Portion size is more than enough. You need a big appetite to finish a meal!!!
We've been looking for good food like this since moving here 8 years ago! Where have you been?! We will most definitely order again and again! Can't wait to introduce you to my son!!!!
