i haven't had such delicious. authentic food since i lived near NYC's chinatown. the Fish Maw Soup with Shrimp and Cold Seasoned Jelly Fish were excellent. the slightly pickled cukes in the dish were the perfect compliment. The Dasher , Briana, was great and the soup was actually piping hot.

I decided to try the Crab Rangoon (6) because of the many conflicting reviews. In general i don't enjoy cream cheese in too many dishes. I found these to be nicely hand folded which gave them a good look and taste!

They are an appetizer , so i found the 6 pieces to be a perfect size. Just my opinion, but I'm glad i tried them for myself.

Love this place! Can't get enough of the Cold Seasoned 'Jelly Fish'; One warning to people who are sensitive to cilantro, when ordering the beef and ox tongue ask them to hold the cilantro (it is cut into tiny pieces and difficult to separate out). The dry sauteed string beans were great and EXACTLY the same as those that i used to get, years ago, in China Town, NYC; these are the best i have ever had in Connecticut.

This may actually be the worst chinese food we've ever had. the "very spicy" General Tso's Tofu is sweet and has zero spice and had a total of two tiny pieces of broccoli, the Crab Rangoon (6) are stale and powdery, the lo Lo Mein is watery and flavorless. The Chicken Fried Rice is overcooked and bland. The Pork Egg Roll is tough and chewy. Are the cooks here allergic to salt? We will never order from this restaurant again. Very disappointed.

Loved everything. Tried Teriyaki Calamari squid appfor the first time and it was delicious and presented beautifully. I recently went to JASA with my brother for a meal and was surprised that it was not crowded. it is an authentic gem right here in Hamden/New Haven!
