Love Lodge so much. The chop salad is one of my favorite dishes in LA. Very thoughtful with just the right amount of everything. My favorite part is the fresh herbs. The kitchen was kind enough to split it up for me. Love all of the toasts but the almond butter toast is my personal fav.

The salad arrived looking nothing like their photo. That happens. NBD. But we quickly realized that if we hadn't ordered chopped turkey, the salad would've been teeny, tiny with only a handful of cauliflower pieces. I'm curious if the salad would've been bigger without the turkey? If so it belongs in a bigger container to accommodate the size vs downsizing the salad. Their description was carefully detailed, mentioning the list of ingredients including "tomato" meaning the singular half of a tiny mini tomato as shown in their photo. That was funny. The salad itself tastes great. It was yummy. The chermoula was delicious. There should be more greens in the salad. I'm guessing it's a better salad in person. We've eaten there a lot and everything is great. Salty, but really great. Worth trying, seems like it could easily be a favorite if they adjusted the size. Maybe ordering a side of turkey and the salad would be a smarter way to go? The pita was big, fluffy but dense. Perfect.

The food today was exceptionally amazing! It's always very good and delicious, but today it was something special. Perfect crust on the Smoked Salmon Toast, perfect temperature, generous amount of everything. The egg yolks were perfectly runny. Banana Bread is the best in town. Thank you 🙏

Bread on Breakfast Sammie was a dry, thick sesame bun, not sourdough and overall low flavor. The $8 Matcha Latte was half a tall size and 50% ice. The Ricotta Jam Toast was tasty but messy with a weird apricot (?) jam that had a baby food after taste. Usually love Lodge but maybe to go isn’t their bag.

I must have ordered from Lodge over 50 times. Everything, especially the chop salad and blt is next level. But please please please bring back the tuna Sammie. Each light, herbally balanced bite makes it one of my top 3 sandwiches of all time. All time.
