• 1/8/26Catfish breading was light and crispy and seasoned very well. Grean beans were seasoned and tender. Dirty rice was fantastic. Corn muffin was sweet and soft. Excellent meal overall!

• 17/4/26Most consistent restaurant in town. 2 Pork Chops dinner: crispy, hot, fresh, well seasoned full pork chops with flavorful gravy on the side. I cannot get enough of the greens & corn bread - taste like home! I've ordered several meals and have never been disappointed.

• 16/1/26The ribtips are so delicious, tender, and plentiful. The dirty rice was very flavorful and perfectly cooked. These sweet potatoes are the best I have ever had. I am so satisfied with the food, and with the timeliness and service. 5 stars!! I am so glad we have found our BBQ joint finally. Nobody else will get our BBQ order in the future.

• 18/7/26I tried J Rocks for the first and it did not disappoint. I ordered the 2 Pork Chops with 2 sides and a drink. For the sides I chose the sweet potatoes and elote. The pork chops were a good sized portion and had a good flavor. It came with a gravy that I did not care for, and the chops did not need. The sweet potatoes were also very tasty, perfectly seasoned. I think the elote was probably good too, but they had some kind of spicy seasoning that was too hot for me. I'm kind of a wimp when it comes to spicy hot things. There was also a corn bread muffin included that I was not expecting but was glad to receive. It was good too. For dessert I ordered the Strawberry Lemonade Cake. I was a bit nervous, but it was delicious. The lemony buttercream frosting paired well with the fluffy and moist strawberry cake. I highly recommend the 2 Pork Chops meal with the Strawberry Lemonade Cake for dessert and would order it again except I think I'll try the Mac and cheese instead of the elote.

• 18/2/26I lived in Memphis for over 10 years. A lot of the BBQ here is too sweet for me, or the food never have enough flavor. This made feel like I was back in the south. The smokey flavor in chicken and pulled pork, the sauce is just amazing. I will be ordering again.
