My 2nd time ordering and the food's fantastic. Very authentic. The branded asparagus is perfection, the Pere E Gorgonzola is delicious and the Lasagna Della Nonna is just like I've had in Italy. The only thing, for me, is the Lasagna pasta is too thick and too many pasta layers. Either more Bolognese sauce is needed or less/thinner pasta. This is definitely the best and most authentic Italian cuisine on the North side. I will continue to be a regular diner.

Good presentation overall...
Carbonara - was ok; for $22 was expecting a bit more portion for the dish, especially being pasta vs a meat entree...needed some pepper (couldn't taste any & it's a main ingredient), could've used some more prosciutto, was a bit sparse & personally wasn't a fan of the breadcrumb mixture on top.
Calamari Fritti - ok portion size, could be more for the price tag. while I appreciate the light breading & cooked well (not overcooked/chewy), since it was smaller pieces of calamari, all you really tasted was unfortunately the breading & a bit of oil, not any of the calamari. I don't think I'd get it again, unless the portion of seafood per piece increased so you can actually taste it.
May be an off day but not overall bad - room for improvement, on the fence if I'd order again from here, especially given the price tag I do have higher expectations.
p.s. for to go orders, you could provide more bread, all I received was 3 small (2-3 inches width, very thin) pieces with a sprinkle of oil.

We had the spaghetti with meat sauce and the carbonara, done well, could taste all the different flavors on both dishes, we also tried the Tiramisu and Crème Brulee, fantastic. A bit pricey for pasta, but done well!

Adore the Polpo!! Order it every time! Great service , packaging and always delicious. My favorite restaurant. Give a good quantity of warm French bread too. Just Superb
