I moved here from Austin in 2006 and the total lack of breakfast tacos was a culture shock. I got an inside tip from the Houston couple that runs Happy Sparrow that Aprisa would turn a Breakfast Burrito into Breakfast Tacos upon request. It was true and they were outstanding from jump. -different than most Austin breakfast tacos but still sooo good. Before long, they added them to the menu! And they've been serving them up officially (and always deliciously) for over 10 years now. I'll always be thankful and I'll always crave em!

I ordered the breakfast burrito with sausage and peppers and onions. They forgot to add the sausage. I could be ok with that (mistakes happen) if the whole thing just wasn't so bland. I had to drown it in salsa just to get any flavor. Specifically, no salt at all was used. The eggs and potatoes were just this bland mush inside a tortilla that was too big for the amount of filling. On the positive side, it was real ingredients and not overly processed, but I won't be ordering from here again. I want flavor (and the meat I ordered).

best breakfast burrito i've tried in portland so far - eggs cooked properly, good amount of potatoes. could use more salsa but not complaining!
