I'm from Chicago and I don't eat out much because Chicagos food is great and I mean all cultures. I was craving Ethiopian food because back home in Chicago I'd order it and and it was always AMAZING. This food is AMAZING. I was craving and trying to find a nearby restaurant that sold Ethiopian food and well this one is it. It had me full and I couldn't even finish I still had food left even after becoming full! The price is great and so is the food. I'm in love and I will be ordering again and trying new dishes. Thank you! So good, healthy, filling and authentic. Can't be that!

These folks are just the best. I had ordered Alicha a couple of weeks ago, and they ran out, so they subbed in the Tibs. Let me tell you it's hard to pick between the two dishes now.
Anyway, Alicha won the eenie meenie miney moe yesterday, and even at an odd hour, the food was just stunning. Every time, they're consistently making delicious meals. Every bite has at least four flavor profiles, and they sing in perfect harmony.
Like, I think the injira is made the old-fashioned way so it's got that nice, almost citrus sour to it, and then you whack the meats and the veggies and the red stuff (I'm so sorry I don't know what it's called) onto it, and you've got yourself the best, most complex thing you're going to eat this year.
And it's - dare I say - affordable. Anyway. As a New Yorker originally, I know the restaurant business is brutal, and I hope they are able to pass this restaurant down through generations. The work deserves longevity.

Their doro wet is very flavorful they give generous amount for what you pay and the taste is very authentic unlike others.
