About Blue Food
Blue Bonnet opened in the 1930s and was one of the first restaurants in Denver to obtain a liquor license after Prohibition. When the restaurant first opened, the Broadway tram end…
The Chimi Changa - (not deep fried) is the one desire that has now become an obsession. Blue Bonnet knows howto hit all my good senses when it conesto my specific needs. They are and always will be my favorite Mexican Restaurant. Coupled with the Salsa and Chips made in house? It's an amazing taste experience and one worthy of doing!! They are unmatched in the Denver area.

Excellent food and their to go packaging is so nice. A lot of restaurants' takeout boxes end up with your food not arriving in great shape but not so with Blue Bonnet. Portions were extremely generous, and love the option to create your own 3 Combo plate. Don't skip the chips and Salsa - Takeout.

The meat on my Chimi was tough and full of gristle. Not generous with the green chile and none of those tender pork chunks they used to include. Don't waste money on the flour chips. They don't travel well.

Always super meat and flavor!
Also love the amount of guacamole and sour cream they provide.
