I've been ordering from this place quite frequently. Tonights dinner was a disappointment. The hush puppies were over fried, my grilled shrimp was crunchy and hard and the bread stick was solid and hard on the bottom. It's a shame as this is my all time favorite place for dinner!

Well..... eating Captain D's at home vs in the restaurant are two very different experiences. There's something about warm food traveling inside a styrofoam container has a less than ideal affect on the fish. It's not the same texture and almost not the same taste. The baked potato tasted good but all the yummy cheese and bacon bits had melted down into the folded sheets of aluminum foil that was there to keep it warm. I had to fish out foil from the potato and all the melted cheese from in between the folds of foil. Ehhh.
All I'm saying is I much prefer to eat in their restaurant and have it delivered to the house.
I also ordered a large sweet tea and a large lemonade but ended up with two large sweet teas. So much for my Arnold Palmer.
It's only fair that I include that in spite of everything I mentioned above, I cleaned my plate and even ate both hush puppies!! I was hungry!!
Just be aware of how this experience differs from dining in.

There was no rice the portion was awful. The salmon is not that good had no crust. Other than that everything else was okay and fresh.

The food was terrible. The fish was nothing but crust. They have changed the way they make their hush puppies and they were not edible. Cole slaw was hot. I had French fries for lunch! I will not order again.

The order was sent without the vinegar and bisque. What did make it here was lukewarm but tasted ok. Portion was correct and appeared fresh. Thank goodness our driver was able to go back and get what was missing. Thank you Eugene!
