• 26/12/24The rice & greens are seasoned very well, the veggies are delicious, portion size is about a hand and steak is cooked well. I dont recall see an option to change that but it still delicious and well seasoned as well. The plantains are my favorite. And the steak goes well with the curry.

• 18/9/24Golden Bowl and Beef Minnie Pies were both phenomenal. The pies are perfectly mild in spice yet flavored deliciously with the flakiest crust- just divine. The Golden Bowl was great too. Medium to hot in spiciness and again flavored magnificently!

• 27/10/22This purchase I got the Olga Palmer & the Minnie Pies both were good. I got a Jamaican hot sauce at home that I like on Pattie's.. the pastry on these were wonderful... I love everything I've tried at this restaurant love the play on the variations of Blackness & similarities yet differences in our foods... can't go wrong.. worth the money!!!!

• 21/2/26the Golden Bowl is one of my favorite dishes in all of Houston. Flat out. The jollof rice is smoky and flavorful. The chicken is well seasoned. Just a very hearty, filling, and satisfying dish.

• 19/6/25Over-hyped and not worth the money. I paid extra for rice and greens but got plain rice instead. The plain rice was undercooked and not very palatable. Instead of the yago vegetables I got a small, sad portion of barely cooked cauliflower. Portion of plantain is almost non-existent, two tablespoons tops.. steak skewers are like one skewers broken into three pieces, very stingy portions on meat. Curry was extremely salty. Disappointing experience and I would not order again, especially for the price.
